And no, clearly you’re not the Johnny Rei in question, as he’s a dashingly handsome pop singer from the United Kingdom with a line in tunes that brings to mind Beck as much as it does Gwen Stefani, and an endearing arrogance that has lead him, as an unsigned artist, to christen one of his songs ‘Number One Single’- a stomping, Kasabian meets Pet Shop Boys romp designed purely to soundtrack the tapping of feet. We hope it achieves the aim in the title, if for no reason other than that would be really, really funny.
In the beginning Johnny Rei was average working class kid living in Bratislava, Slovakia. But when he was twelve he realised that he wants to be a famous singer. No money, no contacts, no English. Nothing but faith.
At the age of 21 Johnny Rei moved to London. After he learned english he started recording his debut album - in his bedroom. Everything you hear is composed and recorded by himself with live instruments.
Today Johnny Rei is living in London gaining a huge success with album called "Number One Single". He is working hard to be as much visible and recognisable as possible, holding to his faith.
