Words by: RawRip Adelaide’s Cape is a fresh anti-folk duo releasing their debut EP through Jigsaw House in February. A recent success for the band has been the sell-out show at Norwich Arts Center which attracted crowds in search of a fresh air and diversity in contemporary folk music. The upcoming shows in Bristol and London from October through January predict more and more fans flocking around to slake their thirst for new, intelligent and engaging music with an extra charm and addictive tang. Adelaide’s Cape’s music has been compared to that of Mumford and Sons, Noah and The Whale, and Johnny Flynn. You might find it quite interesting to check out their cover of Mumford and Son’s “The Cave” and make your own conclusions.
I like this music. It's not what I am into but, it works. Good guitars and percussion. Keep up the good work.

Words by: RawRip The first thing that comes to my mind when listening to Alex's music is “her talent of fitting the abundance of her ideas into music better than one could imagine”. Her simple, yet rich, sincere and depicting, at times humorous, personal and self-portraying lyrics lead you through the song picturing a series of scenes and emotions in which you will definitely find something special and personal. Alex has already tucked under her belt 3 EPs, an album, performances at festivals, gigs, and music competitions nationwide, around Europe, and even in faraway Thailand. Alex has been featured in NME Magazine, BBC Radio Norfolk, been a finalist in the EDP’s The Next Big Thing Competition and gained praise for her unique musical and performing style. So if you are a fan of a more eccentric musical style and unpredictably catchy lyrics, you’d better keep your eyes and ears open not to miss out on Alex’s live performances and her rollout into the wider scopes of the music scene.
Words by: Annalea Thompson “After the Ark is a one piece electronic/experimental band led by Donovan Butts. He has mastered two things: how to reach a very broad audience and how to make them never want to unplug their headphones. His musical creations are a fine melting pot of busy, yet rhythmic sounds you may hear on a crowded street, simple, yet crisp as the crumbling of notebook paper, and elegant, yet chaotic as the song climaxes, evaporates, and leaves the listener in a state of longing for another track…or at least to meet the person who created music out of sounds that his audience often takes for granted.”
Words by: RawRip Ever wondered what would come out if we took Edward Scissorhands and fixed him up with the sleeping beauty? Here’s the answer – The Sohodolls, an fresh act from London, England walking on a thin line between electro pop and punk rock tinged with a gothy feel and sexual content. Fresh out from London’s indie scene these dolls are already one of the biggest attractions with their debut album ‘Ribbed Music for the Numb Generation’ and unforgettable live shows resembling an ongoing Halloween party. The band consisting of Maya von Doll (vocals), Toni Sailor (guitar) and Weston Doll (keyboards) has found such an extremely explosive mega mix of glam, sex, Goth, burlesque, cabaret, pop, punk, and electro elements that they were simply destined to blow up onto the music scene sooner or later. And that’s exactly what happened!
